These days there are radically different options available, depending on if you need a dedicated fridge department, a freezing compartment, or a combination of the two. Let’s have a look at some of the main types available:
Combi
With the combi, you get both fridge and freezer compartments in one. A combi either comes with a freezer on the bottom (with ample storage space for both compartments) or a freezer on top (with much more room for the fridge compartment).
Single Door
These models include a small freezer and are available in varying widths and heights to give you maximum freezer space for the space in your kitchen.
Chest
Typically kept in a cellar or garage, the chest freezer is a spacious appliance used to store large amounts of frozen goods.
For the Best Fit
Think about how much storage you need and how much space you have available. If you love fresh food and don’t use your freezer that often, a top combi or single door model would work for you. If you need lots of storage for frozen food but your kitchen isn’t very roomy, you could go for a combi bottom in the kitchen with a chest freezer in the garage.
