These days there are radically different options available, depending on if you need a dedicated fridge, a freezing compartment, or a combination of the two.
Combi
With the combi, you get both fridge and freezer compartments in one appliance. It either comes with a freezer on the bottom (with ample storage space for both compartments) or a freezer on top (with much more room for the fridge compartment).
Single Door
These models include a small freezer compartment inside for freezing. They can vary a lot according to height – the 85cm model, for instance, is designed to go under a worktop.
For the Best Fit:
Think about how much storage you’ll need and how much space you have available. For example, if you love fresh food and don’t use your freezer that often, a single door model would work for you. If you need lots of storage space for frozen food but your kitchen isn’t very roomy, you could go for a combi bottom in the kitchen with a chest freezer in the garage.
