Save a lot of time searching
I bought this cooker to replace an earlier, more expensive version of the same cooker - It had worked very well for 10 years before the bottom oven door fell off. So rather than searching around for something to replace it I just bought the newer version (without the clock) and saved a significant amount of money by doing so. I must say the only real differences I have noticed so far is the rotary switches on the new one are nothing like as positive as the old ones, which used to click reassuringly into their numbered position - The new ones are sloppy by comparison. Also the bottom oven door latch is now a spring loaded catch rather than the steal spigot and roller set up of old. Guess you're not just paying for the clock with the more expensive models. The heat indicator on the ceramic panel is a nice touch, reminded me of an AEG hob I had for many years. I hope this new cooker will last me a decade as well but since I notice the bottom oven door hinge arrangement has not changed we'll just have to wait and see.
