I was lucky enough to be chosen as a product tester for this product, the price range for this hob is around £399 which I think is a fair price as it has some great features which I will list.
I really like this hob, especially the automatic switch off when the pan isn’t placed on the hob surface, it will automatically turn off until the pan is replaced. The speed of cooking is much much quicker, my first few uses ended in burnt food as I just wasn’t used to the quickness, a pan of water starts bubbling in around 15 seconds !!!! I soon got used to this.
The design is lovely and and functions are easy to use too, it’s easy to clean as there are no knobs. Also you can clean it over quite soon after switching off which means it’s easier to clean any spills as it hasn’t had time to dry up on the surface, where as an electric hob I find takes much longer to cool down.
The hob is fast to cool down and having children I found this was a great feature to have, and also a cat that gets Curious and occasionally walks across the units and hob so prevents potential injuries which is great!!!
My last hob got really hot to touch the function buttons once it had been used for a while but this hob doesn’t get too hot to touch at all which I like a lot.
The hob has a slight buzz noise if the pan isn’t placed correctly, just a quick move if the pan and the buzz noise will go.
Another little bonus to this hob is that if anything is placed on the hob that shouldn’t be there the hob will make a beeping noise.
The only disappointment I had was the pans I bought which were Tefal induction pans would not work with the boil Assist, I would love this function to work as I am a busy mum of 4 so sometimes I am away from the hob and ended up with some over boiling water spilling onto the hob. I may have to look into finding the pans that work with this feature and hopefully Zanussi can help me with this.
Overall I love this hob and I would highly recommend it. It’s my first induction hob and I prefer it to electric due to the speed of cooking.
Boiling water kept under control, with Boil Sensor
When water is about to reach its boiling point, Boil Sensor will detect the rising bubbles and reduce the induction hob's temperature. So hot water never boils over.
