I bought this oven after my Bosch oven expired. I read Which reviews and felt confident that this was a similar product. (My model is the ZOHNX3K1, but it isn't listed here). The first time I roasted meat, even after following the extremely vague and generic manual, the smoke which billowed from the oven when I opened the door caused the smoke alarms to go off and the spatter over the whole of the oven, required me to clean it that day. When trying to remove the side rails, the wall of the oven was pulled out of shape permanently and even now, I haven't mastered the knack of removing them without causing further damage, so they will just have to remain in place for the life of the oven and I'll have to clean around them. I like to have the light on when cleaning but it doesn't seem to be possible, without the fan starting up, so that's not a pleasant experience either.
As far as I can gather, the moist fan baking mode, which is designed to save energy is some kind of EU box ticking exercise. It takes 45 minutes to reach 160c; how is this energy saving? I did contact Customer Service on the website sometime in September or October, but had no response. I deleted the acknowledgement recently, having managed to find a way of using the oven, by my own trial and error. The reason I am here again today, is because another abandoned attempt to remove the side rails in order to clean the oven after all the Christmas cooking reminded me of how dissatisfied I am with this product and I decided to warn others of my experience.
